NATIONAL POLICY FOR THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN (2001) Introduction The principle of gender equality is enshrined in the Indian Constitution in its Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties and Directive Principles. The Constitution not only grants equality to women, but also empowers the State to adopt measures of positive discrimination in favour of women. They were kind and  helpful. They cooperated with each other and contributed to their best of the capability just to keep Lencho’s  faith in God alive. They had love, concern, compassion and empathy for Lencho. Q2. Why would you not agree with Lencho calling the post office employees ‘a bunch of crooks’? Ans. Lencho was not at all justified in calling the post office employees ‘a bunch of crooks’ because they helped  him by collecting money when his crops were destroyed by hailstorm. Q3.
